EasyDots (Windows version)

EasyDots is a Cantonese Braille input method developed by the Hong Kong Blind Union. EasyDots helps people with visually impairment overcome digital divide by allowing them to input Chinese text accurately and efficiently with a computer. EasyDots is easy-to-learn and can support both Microsoft Windows 11 and 10. EasyDots2.2 adds features and fixes for Windows 10, and assists Windows 10 UWP programs (such as Start Menu and Microsoft Edge) to read input method settings and custom vocabulary.

Acknowledgement

Our special thanks to the Development of Assistive Technology for Persons with Disabilities Fund (ATDF) financed by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer(OGCIO) for sponsoring the development of EasyDots 2.2. We also in debt to Microsoft for providing technical advice, without which the software may not be run as smoothly in the Windows 7 environment. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, new version which supports Windows 8 was released.

Software Usage Agreement:

Thank you for using EasyDots (hereafter referred as the software).

The software is developed by the Hong Kong Blind Union. The software copyright is wholly owned by the union and By downloading, installing and/or using the software, you agree to observe the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you are not licensed to install the Application.

The software is free to use by any individual and organization.
For organization users, prior to before installing EasyDots, please wait until you have received the approval notice email after submittinjg the application. All information collected will be for record keeping use only.
No duplication and/or distribution of the software to other party is allowed unless permission has been obtained from the Union.
