Appointment of New Executive Director
Dear Friends,
Appointment of New Executive Director
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Blind Union, I wish to inform you that Ms. Peggy Ko has resigned from the position of Executive Director with effect from 1 May 2023. Afterwards, she will support our Blind Union as our Social Enterprise and Project Development Consultant. Ms. Ko has brought enormous contribution to the Hong Kong Blind Union throughout her 12-year service, especially her 6-year service at the position of Executive Director. She has dedicated herself a lot to the blind community. We wish her and her family all the best whole-heartedly!
I also wish to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Jackie KWAN, our new Executive Director, coming on board on 2 May 2023. Jackie has extensive experience in the rehabilitation field. She is also familiar with self-help organization. I am sure she will bring in new insights to achieve the mission and vision of the Blind Union with the joint efforts and continued support from members of the Executive Committee, as well as our members, colleagues, volunteers and work partners.
